The Jameson Distillery, Dublin
This is a fantastic way to spend an hour or two while you’re in Dublin: take the Jameson whiskey tour which is an absolute must and you’ll even get a wee snifter to keep you warm at the end of it all.
Jameson Distillery
The Jameson Distillery is right in the middle of Dublin and was, until 1971, a major employer in the city. It was established in 1780 and used to be called the Bow Street Distillery.
John Jameson, the then manager, took over and expanded it in 1805. By 1810, it was officially renamed John Jameson & Son’s Bow Street Distillery and covered over five acres by 1886.
The Jameson Tour
Nearly 240 years after it first opened, the Jameson Bow Street Distillery is still welcoming friends through the door. You can book a Distillery Tour, go to their really popular Whiskey Blending Class or spend the afternoon at a Whiskey Cocktail Making Class.
Honestly now, could you imagine a better way to pass the time? Definitely one of the best things to do in Dublin.
