Things To Do In Dublin In September 2020

Dublin/ 4 September 2020
Back to list

After a few very tough months, we cannot wait to suggest some great ways to enjoy our capital this Autumn. It has been a difficult time for all but it would be wonderful to welcome you back to the city to reacquaint yourself with some of its greatness. We have even secured some discounts for our Fitzwilliam friends to enjoy.

Dublin Fringe Festival from 5th – 20th September

A highlight in the Dublin calendar, we are just delighted that this event is going ahead albeit with a bit of pivoting. Details can be found here.

Sights and Sounds

Enjoy a stroll around the city using our super podcast by Donal Fallon – one of Dublin’s finest and most knowledgeable historians. He points out key landmarks and offers a bit of history and a spot of Dublin wit too.

When you are finished, why not head to St Stephens Green and enjoy our afternoon tea on the go.

Culture Night 18th September 2020

Although this might look a little different this year with some events being virtual, limited or ticketed, it is a wonderful opportunity to let us all connect through culture. For more details check here.

A visit to the GPO Museum

This Autumn, as we celebrate the centenary years of our independence, why not visit the GPO Museum and as a guest of the Fitzwilliam you can enjoy 15 % discount on your admission when you show your Fitzwilliam room key.

Dublin Tipples..

As the evenings draw in, it seems only right to sample some of our capital’s great whiskeys.

From Teelings, the new look Jameson Distillery and of course Pearse Lyons – we have an abundance of whiskeys to enjoy here in the city.

All Fitzwilliam guests to Pearse Lyons Distillery can enjoy a discount on entrance when they show their room key.

Should you prefer a day trip to Malahide and a tasting -, then head to Malahide Castle for their weekly Saturday tastings. This event is so popular it is being extended until November. Tickets are available here

Dublin Dining Delights

With fewer tourists (to put it mildly!) you can savour some of the capital’s finest cuisine without a long waitlist.

The Greenhouse, Variety Jones, L’ecrivain and of course our own Glovers Alley. And what could be finer than fine dining and overnight under the one roof. Savour our gourmet package here.

Retail Therapy

Make the most use of the 50% & 70% discounts in many of our local shops! After these difficult months, it might just be time to treat ourselves with a little splurge. We here at the Fitzwilliam want to ease the pain and will have €50 Brown Thomas voucher in your guestroom on arrival when you book here.

You can also enjoy our awesome afternoon tea, breakfast and parking for just €299.00 …..SOLD!

Dublin Theatre Festival from 24th Sept – 11th October

This annual event always causes a stir and having been starved of theatrical performance, we cannot wait for this most wanted and needed festival. Check out the events here
