It’s April in Dublin and you have LOTS of choices for things to do. Here are just some of our suggestions:
Dublin Tech Summit
Dublin Tech Summit is a two-day global tech conference in the RDS (20-minute walk from us). It’s Ireland’s largest tech event as well as “Europe’s fastest growing tech conference” and brings together some of the most influential tech and business leaders for growth, development, knowledge sharing and networking. More information about the summit can be found here.
ROI V Liverpool FC Legends
Liverpool football club has a HUGE following in Ireland. There are very strong connections between the city and our country because so many people emigrated there over the years. So on the 12th of April, the match between the Republic of Ireland and Liverpool Legends in the Aviva Stadium will be packed. See if you can still get tickets here.
Irish Famine Exhibition
This is right next door to us in the Stephen’s Green Shopping Centre and opens on April 15th. This exhibition tells the story of what happened during those horrific years using rare 19th century photographs, witness accounts, contemporary sketches, film, maps and statistics. You’ll find more details here.
Heineken Champions Cup – Quarter Finals
Another big weekend of rugby for the Irish teams with both Munster and Leinster in the semi-finals. It all starts with Saracens v Munster on the Saturday(20th April) and then Leinster play Toulouse here in Dublin on Sunday (21st April) afternoon. You might be lucky and find tickets here.
War Horse
After eight record- breaking years in London’s West End and having played in 11 countries around the world to over 7 million people, the National Theatre’s acclaimed play WAR HORSE will return to Bord Gáis Energy Theatre from 10 – 27 April 2019. Look for tickets here.
Dublin Night Run
Dublin’s most exciting 10k run is back on Sunday April 28th. It all starts at the Custom House on the river and will take you through the city centre. You get all the details you need here.
Take That
The iconic 90s pop band Take That is back in Dublin with two shows celebrating 30 years of hits. This is their Greatest Hits Live 2019 show so they’ll be performing all of your favourite Take That tunes on (29th & 30th April). Look here for tickets.
